Leave no litter behind
Litter in parks and riverbanks ends up tangling or poisoning birds and animals. Take your rubbish with you — and pick up one extra piece on the way.

Carry a reusable bottle
One bottle refilled all year beats hundreds thrown away. Keep it in your bag and use the school fountains.

Save water
Turn the tap off while you soap up, and tell a teacher the moment you spot a dripping one.

Sort my waste
Paper, plastic and batteries each have their own bin. Sorted waste actually gets recycled — mixed waste does not.

Look after a tree
Adopt one sapling in the school garden. Water it, keep the soil clear, and watch it through its first summer.
06
Switch off what I don't use
Lights, projectors and screens left on all afternoon add up. Last one out of the classroom flips the switch.
